The Softopper doesn't have windows on the sides, the top on my Jeep is a Bestop it's been great for years and has been crazy durable. Also the Softopper required a velcro strip along the tailgate, and since I planned on spending more time with the topper off than on I didn't like that much. WebDiffering opinions from most I guess. Love my softopper on my Tacoma. Use it while camping, and heading to the coast to keep my dogs and gear out of the rain. When I don't want it, strip it down, fold it up and store it. Web29 Dec 2024 · Their new one that just came out end of 2024 early 2024 comes with solid panel just like Softopper. I might give it a try next year. I'm only using this for spring / summer / fall months when we're camping. During winter, i'll be taking the whole thing off and put the regular roll-up tonneau cover.

It uses velcro to seal along the sides like most tonneau covers, and it uses an aluminum cross bar that securely latches near the tailgate.
