A cube originating from you does not mean you are the center of the cube. Rather, you are the “point of origin” for one face of the cube.

But comparing this with the Wall of Stone spell suggests that they meant a 5-ft. cube. Or maybe a wall of stone is just tougher. Anyway, there is a considerable discrepancy!
