WebJul 22, 2024 · 60-70º seems kinda high to me, but not exceptionally so. Most of the literature I’ve read says it’s not necessary to heat the bed for PLA. I have been using glue on glass and have had good success. Maybe I’ll try a cold bed once or twice just for laughs. Main advantage would be electric savings. But I don’t expect it uses that much power. It's not hard, you just need a good flat y carriage and flat piece of glass. After a while the heated bed will conform to the glass plate.
