WebJun 16, 2007 · The 350 Buick is a fine motor as long as you recognize it's weak spots. These are the oil pump in that wimpy aluminum front cover; and the cam drive. OK the water pump isn't the best design either. - To overcome the oil pump, always rebuild with a new front cover and oil pump.
